Divert Calls When Busy

We like to call this service DOBNA (Divert calls On Busy or No Answer). This service works well if you are on the phone a lot or if you are in and out of the office.

Here Is How DOBNA Works:


  • 1You tell us the phone number to route all calls to.
  • 2You tell us the 2nd, 3rd or 4th number that you would like to accept calls on when busy.
  • 3We program your inbound number with certain rules such as:
  • a. If you are engaged? Route the call to option 2, 3 or 4.
  • b. If you do not pick up the phone after so many seconds? Route option to 2, 3 or 4.
  • 4If someone calls you and you are busy or can’t get to the phone we will automatically try to route the inbound call to an alternative number that you have provided us.
  • 5When we find a number to route the call to that is not busy we connect the call.

You will never have to worry about setting up a divert on your office phone – just leave the office and we will route the calls to your mobile or other landline.

We use Divert on busy at our office. If you call one of our numbers and everyone in the office is engaged then the call gets routed to a managers mobile. We don’t like to miss calls here so we do practice what we preach.
